Complicit is the MSM for many decades, but only getting worse as they become marginalized by alternatives. Their lies by omission give away their closet radicalism. They almost never use the terms "far-left" or "alt left" even though they will use such terms about non-leftists at the drop of a hat. It is all about trying to normalize lefism/marxism while making moderate views seem radical. Otherwise known as moving the 'overton window'.
If you ever had to interview closet leftists, the trick wouldn't be about trolling them with non-leftist positions to see how they react, because they have long practiced moderate dissimulation. The method would be scoring them for how many times the avoid or omit classifying or categorizing leftists or marxist events/individuals as such.
