I fully expected trump to win in a landslide, and said it a lot in forums - to the point that I also said that discussions about who would win bored me and I no longer engaged in them.

A major part of the problem is that Democrats/lefties who spend a lot of time and money in college think they are “smart.” (I have two marketable college degrees, so feel I am qualified to discuss this - ha!) Unfortunately, many of them get degrees that - in the real world - are absolutely useless. But they think very highly of themselves since they have “book smarts.” Just like Obama’s cabinet - no real world experience. And that is why the lefties and Democrats are losing - they have no idea of reality.
There might be a large number that chose non-college alternatives, but they are not uneducated. And certainly there are enough like my wife and I, strong Trump supporters who hold a total of 7 college degrees.
