I agree with that. I don’t know what the prices are on the listed coffees, but even Folgers & Maxwell House are not real cheap unless on sale where I live & I don’t think I’ve ever seen most of your listed brands where I can afford to shop.

“Costco’s Kirkland Columbian Supremo whole bean (silver bag with the jaguar on the front) works just fine for me. I can grind it as needed, so it stays fresh.”

I like that also. We divide the bag up into canning jars to keep it fresh and we use a coffee maker that grinds the beans.

Which is the case usually.

There are only three places that produce coffee that is good straight from the pot. Four if you count the place on the other side of the state. Local diner, that place that serves Jamaican food and, oddly enough, McDonalds. The place on the other side of the state was a surprise. It was a banquet hall in a hotel which usually means sub-par coffee at best. But they perked it by the pot in machines that were cleaned every time using fresh ground coffee. I almost cried when I tasted it.

I like it black and even room temperature. I used to use cream and sugar but I acquired the taste for just coffee.

Does anyone buy the ground coffee, or just the beans?

We’ve been 100% Keurig for about 10 years. There are only two of us, and it’s easy to grab a pod and make a cup that we know will be fresh.

Now were looking at a combo Keurig and drip because it’s easier to serve company when coffee is in a pot. My brother uses ground Folgers in a red canister, and it’s pretty good.

Also — does anyone remember the heavenly smell when our parents would grind their own beans at the grocery store into the little bags?

I hear you. I’m not a flavored coffee guy either. But I have to say, that pumpkin spice was a nice change. I actually was tempted to buy some hazelnut coffee earlier today. There was a squirrel on the package so I could’ve justified it in honor of Peanut the Martyr...
