For your liberal friends...A unique code on every ballot that allows the voter to check how their ballot was actually recorded. This could be printed on a tear-off portion at the bottom of the ballot. The code could be used to check, using your phone, in your car before you leave (if you use electronic voting).
If paper voting, you could check the code after a couple of days.
I think this would really ease peoples’ minds.
