Officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), North Carolina Department of Transportation and the local Sheriff’s office all visited the site but turned a blind eye to the unsanctioned build.

They'll eventually be charged with something.

Not locally if the local politicians want to stay in office.

So why did they visit the sight, eh?

Likely to shut it down and someone thought better of it.

I’d like to see someone FOIA the communications regarding the alleged site visit/s.

Bet the info would be interesting.
