Luther was a very flawed human .
Yes, understood. Luther’s anti-Semitism was notorioius later in life when he became more contankerous passing a number of kidney stones along the way. Initially, he was gracious to the Jews, but got angry at them when they did not convert. Thus, Luther’s views finally continues the Catholic Anti-Semitism of his pre-conversion past so that pogroms would continue as such. What is worse than pogroms? The Holocaust, which the author spends a considerable amount of time unpacking showing how it was a secularized Protestant Anti-semitism which led to the godless behavior of the Nazis.
Luther had the same opinion of Jews as most monks and priests of his time.
