There were heavy summer rains, and the gator went with the flow and ended up inland. They should not have put it in a zoo. They should have released it onboard Lejeune; we have lots of them. They don't bother anyone. Just don't walk your dog along the riverbank. If you do, make sure you are carrying. An elderly couple lost their dog in town along a riverbank. Everyone in the area knew a fair-sized gator was in that location; there were warning signs. What were they thinking?
