You don’t sit there and watch them walk up with containers of flammables and start pouring it about, you start shooting them BEFORE that, them, and the containers. Getting lit up by the holed or shattered container of flammable liquid is a GREAT demotivator for groups.
You can hit an object the size of a molotov cocktail out to 100 yards with a PCP air rifle or .22 LR with relative ease, so you can initiate the engagement without actually drilling the enemy if you are squeemish about initiating. If you are in a dwelling and you are watching people move towards you that are actively killing, burning and looting its pretty obviously “game on”...
