what grenade would fit in a fuel tank ?
one would think the filler opening would be small enough not to accommodate a frag or baseball grenade.

Can you imagine an MRAP disabled because of a grenade in the gas tank ? They’d have to change the name.

Just roll it under the tank, that would work.

-—grenade in a fuel tank? Well, it was a passing thot, I’m sure. It’s the sentiment that ccounts. But there at least a bazillion ways to rig a grenade as a booby trap. Under a seat cushion. Under/behind a spare tire. Air cleaner cover. Under a folded tarp? Und So Vieter? Do I have to do everything?

But I’m always reminded about the Japs in the Pacific sometimes dying with a grenade in their hand held under their body. Nasty.

Huey’s had a large fill hole that was noodled out by VC as great avenue for dropping a grenade wrapped with a dissolvable delay device. One of the mechanics in Pops unit field crafted an insert that prevented it that got pretty wide use.
