It’s melting because it’s getting warmer.
In fact, it’s been getting warmer for about 15,000 years and will continue to do so for about 18,000 more.
Then it will begin to get colder.
We had nothing to do with it and there’s nothing we can do about it.
“Could.”
Which means with the best technology currently on the planet, the best they can do is “could.”
Yes, but, I think the general claim is that these glaciers sit on a landmass.
It’s a pure BS climate cultist alarmist made up story.
*****
Do they mean like this cold??
What caused all this to melt?
I bring this up a work and boy, oh boy, does it upset the applecart.
Let me know when the doom finally arrives.
I’ve been waiting my entire life. First there was this population bomb, then a hole in the ozone, then a new ice age, then a nuclear holocaust, then meteors crashing into earth, then global warming, now “climate change”. Get it over with, already! The suspense alone should be killing me, but it isn’t!
It’s sliding off the Continental shelf and into the sea. The floating part of Thwaites was extends about 30 miles over the sea. The part still on land mass is larger than the floating part. The floating part somewhat stabilizes the landbound part and the concern is that as the floating part melts (which it is), the land part will progress into the sea more rapidly.
Only one thing. I do like just one good snowstorm. Right before Christmas. That’s it. Gone by New Year. Spring starts Jan.2nd. I’m not askin’ for much, am I?
It’s the part in the sea that breaks off.
No change.
