I spent a wonderful week in Germany just a few months before the Berlin Wall came down. I found the Germans clear-minded, logical, and nice to be with. Only problem I had was in Bavaria where bed-and-breakfast ladies didn’t want me because they thought I was Jewish. Had long black hair then, so stayed in a great hotel instead.
