My great-grandmother lived through the Spanish Flu and died at 108. Her husband, my great-grandfather, died from that flu leaving her to raise 5 children.
I know people who were hospitalized with Covid and who almost died. Others like my wife and I contracted the disease but only had mild symptoms.
Freepers who deny the potential dangers of COVID are wrong. The fact is that like many infectious diseases, COVID affects different people differently. My great-grandmother who cared for my great-father until his death was immune to the Spanish flu - my great-father was susceptible and succumbed to the disease. This seeming contradiction can be said of many infectious diseased. One size does not fit all.
True and every year I know people who don’t get the flu and every year I get it 2-4 times and about every 3-4 years I’m in the emergency room because I’m having trouble breathing.
Everyone’s mileage differs
