I saw the same thing happen.

$50K property, $1,000 yr taxes.

15 years later, ~$400K and $8,000 yr taxes.

CA prop 13 is the way to go.

CA prop 13 is the way to go.

As those who benefited from prop 13 die out, eventually most everyone in CA will be paying sky high property taxes.
