I think this article will be of interest to aging men, my husband being one of them. Thanks. I’ll pass it along.

Bo Snerdly, Rush Limbaugh’s call screener, had prostate cancer and, at pages 222 through 229 of his book, “Rush on the Radio,” describes the horrific biopsy he experienced, a procedure that was and is done without anesthesia. The doctor runs the biopsy instrument up the patient’s rectum and then finds a way to get into the prostate, at which point the doctor looks around and finds several likely spots to cut out biopsies. The pain is excruciating. Indeed the husband of a relative of mine had that procedure and described it as feeling like having a 2 x 4 pounded of nails driven up his anus. Thus anything that can spare potential biopsy candidates those horrors should be appreciated.

Urine and blood collect pretty much everything going on in the body, so I’ve always wondered why there haven’t been urine and/or blood tests for cancer screening.
After what we learned about the medical industrial complex, I figure there have been simple tests in existence for maybe decades. But where’s the money in that?
