I learned a lesson today.

It is important to put on your glasses when reading the instructions. This prevents you from putting helium in a baboon.

“This prevents you from putting helium in a baboon.”

LOL! Still, must have been an uplifting experience.

Helium? Baboon? I have a hose fitting for that. Did not know there was a problem. Haven’t ruined one since the Hindenburg.

The following article had insights into the role of First Lady. For example - they don't have to be called 'First Lady.' Jackie Kennedy found the term offensive and requested to be called Mrs. Kennedy.

Of particular interest to me were the rules about transition - for example the incoming Administration cannot make changes to certain parts of the White House (particularly on the 1st floor) because the historic parts belong to citizens; they can't move into the presidential residence before 12 noon on January 20. They also have to petition to make changes to guest rooms. These points 'clarify' that changes in the wallpaper, carpet etc. of the Oval Office witnessed the day Biden 'took office' were impossible.

The article also says that the current administration determines how a deceased prior first lady will be honored.

Anyway, I found the look inside the First Ladies' role interesting. Before deleting it from my notes, I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone else was interested.

41 Rules You Didn't Know First Ladies Have to Follow

They have a lot of responsibilities in the White House.
