A Washington Councilwoman was caught on camera having a heated exchange with unhoused people earlier this month.
'Y'all need to move because you're trespassing,' Burien Councilwoman Linda Akey can be heard telling a group of unhoused people outside her condo building in footage taken on February 10.
Akey and her husband can be heard telling the group outside their tents of the city ordinance prohibiting camping on public property between 7 pm and 6 am.
'I live here and you do not belong here. You are trespassing right now,' Akey tells one individual in front of the Burien Town Square Condominiums.
'Living 20 feet above a tent encampment is an experience in itself,' Akey later told Fox 13.
'I have been calling the police pretty regularly for trespassing,' said Akey.
'I have been told a couple of times by the police to trespass them myself, which is what happened that night.'
Akey alleged that the exchange happened after nearly a week of seeing open drug use, drug deals and a fire lit next to the building.
'I recognize I may look angry, and I apologize for raising my voice' she added.
In a later statement the Councilwoman added: 'While I deeply empathize with the struggles faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, it's crucial to find solutions that balance compassion with upholding the safety and well-being of our entire community.
'We need a collaborative approach involving residents, social service providers, law enforcement, and community leaders to address the root causes of homelessness and addiction and find long-term solutions.'

What the hell is a unhoused people?
Y’all? In Washington State?
rules, and taxes, for thee but not for me...
They’re probably newcomers.
The Seattle area is full of people like the subject of the story; they think of themselves as polite, but it's really more like civil. Until you disagree. Then it's like pouring water on a Gremlin,
For some reason it is meant to be less derogatory as a homeless person.
Perhaps similar to the press using the term “teens” instead of thugs.
Their was a local posting on the internet of how police were searching for three “teens”. Had a real good photo of one of them - a 20-something black guy with a full beard.
Washington State is pouring millions of dollars into the homeless problem.
Why do they pour millions of dollars into problems like salmon, polar bears, wolves and other “threatened” species but expect the exact opposite effect when it comes to homeless people?
She is a council rep in Barien which voted 72 percent for the senile imposter in 2020. ‘Nuff said.
A new Liberal Washing term. Much like Illegal Aliens became Illegal Migrants and now it’s just Migrants...
*now it’s just Migrants.*
The left.. The anti American, left idiots, who would sell this country on a dime.. Get an island somewhere for them to live in their own misery,.. They don’t deserve America.
The ‘newcomers’ are invaders and have no rights here in our America. If there were any serious patriotic persons in the command spot, there would be charges against the administration.
We used to call them bums.
It ain’t “migrants” any more. It’s “newcomers.” Bake them a pie and welcome them to the neighborhood.
The Pacific Northwest lefties have got Communism in its purest form:
“What is mine is mine.
What is yours is mine.”
Next up: Child molesters = Loving members of the family.
The news critters here in Knoxville started using the “unhoused” word a few months ago. This is the first time I’ve seen it in print.
Why do they have to keep coming up with new lingo? They aren’t smart enough to be embarrassed, either.
Chickens coming home to roost.
‘Y’all need to move because you’re trespassing,’
So… now there are laws??? Imagine that! Laws!
Bums
Entitled spoiled brats.
