1. Article from a British paper; those have been among the worst/most laughable in their anti-Russian propaganda.
2. No mention of sources for his claim.
3. The anti-Russian Mediazona tries its best to track and hype Russian losses, but even doubling their numbers on the assumption that they only identify half the losses still leaves them with very low casualty counts compared to Ukrainian losses.
4. Which makes sense with all we hear about the Russian artillery advantage and Ukrainians running out of equipment; Lanchesters’ Square Law strongly suggests it is the outnumbered Ukrainians who are being mauled at a very lopsided casualty rate.
5. The best analysis of losses in the battle for Bakhmut (from Big Serge) yielded ~50K losses for Ukraine, 5K Russian military and 17-22K Wagner troops, IIRC. As he said, Ukraine lost its army there, Russia lost its prison population.
