” There’s no way to know if or how much of what he posted is true, but it’s interesting and made me want to learn more about the deep blue ice that seems to be so” valuable. “
~~~
Thanks, Linda, I have said the same regarding QTSR. Truth is always in the discriminating eye of the beholder, imho. I have learned that the same holds “true” for every other human media source, so I am not “selling” QTSR. The most I defend is the right to my own sources on subjects of my own novel interests, with no concern for the approval or disapproval of others, with the happy exception of the admin mods should they disapprove. They never have.
It’s a pain to copy and paste the extremely long drops by QTSR, on a cell phone, and embarrassing to sprawl through acres of thread bandwidth, but with the pages of clever photos and memes doing the same and meeting no resistance, I became less shy to share the long scrolls of QTSR, anyone who for their own reason, is not on Telegram. I live there. 😊
What is “blue ice”? I follow nothing of all the threats to life and limb, but feast on the political chess movements of US and world governments.
( Incidentally, finding Putin the most fascinating leader in the world— the adult in the room. No wonder to me that Trump and Putin were personally never at odds. Two Men, about the business of respecting sovereignty enough to save it, with no capitulation.)
Thx,
Rita
Posters can never know in advance if their reports and links will pique the interest of readers, but I’m okay with the concept of “I report, you decide”. There isn’t one of us who knows the absolute truth about everything, and everyone here is smart enough to decide for him/herself whether a post has merit or isn’t worthy of their further attention.
This isn’t even different than 60 years ago when the paper versions of the news were printed twice a day. Each article in those hard copies was read by someone somewhere, and many were skipped over due to lack of interest on the part of the reader. I think of news/information as a buffet - I choose what I want to know more about and ignore the things that I have no interest in, but I don’t think the buffet should appeal only to me.
