While you're usually spot on Taylor is a hard-corps Leftist Democrat, making a song a few years ago supporting the glomo-homo agenda with a vengeance. Sometimes money, fame and being surrounded with people kissing your ass changes a person.

And that this Super Bowl has been subjugated to her tenuous relationship to a player (who's own ex was of different race but approves to get in on the money wagon) makes me pine for the Budweiser Clydesdales whom we know have no agenda other than a nice feed bag.

To be fair, that’s not a smutty or blatantly anti-American song. Yes, it’s certainly not Deplorable and the Founders likely wouldn’t play it. But it’s not Rage Against The Machine or Frankie Goes to Hollywood. (If forced to make a pick, I’d rather listen to Right Said Fred.) Nor is she gonna be executed for it by her government.

Swift has made the equivalent of the Independent State of Samoa’s GDP by Shutting Up and Singing/generally steering clear of polarizing issues. Even Dolly Parton has made some (very few) statements that are polarizing, but they are few and far between.

IF she gets too full of herself and thinks she’s become a policy wonk, her fanbase will go on to something else. THEN she’ll be on TMZ with the bat.

FWIW, I’ll be watching on Nickelodeon along with the little DoodleBobs. Patrick is a better color guy anyway.
