Why is so much of what the medical system believes not based on science?
“Why is so much of what the medical system believes not based on science?”
In the case of diabetes, they didn’t have the science. They had insulin, but no way to measure its levels in the human body. They also knew that Type 1’s had no insulin because they needed injections to be kept alive (even eating virtually no carbs won’t do the trick forever, for Type 1’s).
So, for Type 2’s, they figured the same - no insulin in their bodies (again, they couldn’t measure, so they were forced to assume no insulin). So they prescribed the same - insulin shots
Then, finally, they could measure insulin (1970s), and found they were dead wrong regarding Type 2’s, as their bodies were flooded with insulin (compared to healthy people), at least in their early stages of elevated blood glucose. Type 2 diabetes is actually the human body’s cells being unable to properly use insulin to process glucose...so more and more is needed (called Insulin Resistance).
This should have caused them to re-assess everything regarding Type 2’s, but then that would have meant huge numbers of doctors telling their patients that they were wrong...and doctors don’t seem able to do that, and of course big-pharma was making big-bucks by then.
So now what? Well it’s been a decade, at least, since word in the underground was that cutting carbs is always the right thing to do if you have diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2), and cutting carbs enough can even take off insulin and sometimes off all meds.
But now we have a new problem, thanks to the Left (of course), which is their war on meat. If you don’t eat carbs, you’re pretty much stuck with meat (if you have half a brain)...and the goal of our masters is to end the consumption of meat, particularly red meat (the healthiest type for all people, particularly diabetics).
So, guess what, nothing will change...they will not let that happen, as the ‘planet’ is more important to them.
“ Why is so much of what the medical system believes not based on science?”
Because that’s not what the “medical system “ is about.
It’s about making its controllers, practitioners and suppliers wealthy beyond their wildest dreams.
