Those fired would need to have security cleatances stripped, and made it known that their whereabouts and contacts could be monitored at any time (assuming they aren't in jail).

With great power comes great responsibility. Anyone engaged in political games at the intelligence agencies should be looking at execution or life. This is the most dangerous thing for the average American. A government of the government, by the government, for the government should not stand.
Wonders whether the U.S. (since the neutering of Gen. Patton by Eisenhower) has the mojo/masculinity to perform the kind of self-surgery you’re describing through to completion. Or whether the patient will bleed out and expire on the table.
That’s a pretty good start. Everyone down to G-11 needs to be fired and the entire SES replaced.
Then Trumps AG, assuming he doesn’t totally blow that hire again, needs to crank up a couple dozen Grand Juries and start prosecutions. He can start with Brennan and Clapper and work his way down.
