Some decades ago I proof-read a book written by an old US Navy Vet who had spent time in china before WW II. He described in much detail how the royalty/chieftains/gooches/highbrows much preferred young people to dally with. Their main concern was avoiding syphylus and the rest of the STDs. And when they already had one, to not transmit it to their own “friends.”
Not new. Pretty much all of the old civilizations/societies had some element of pedoness. Start with incest-—it goes back forever.
