Do you like being retired?

Oh, yes, I love not having to deal with the changing work environment. I never was a 'workaholic'. I enjoy ME time. One of my male coworkers had feelings like your brother, and was worried about what he would do with his time, and thought he and his wife would "drive each other crazy". He did retire this past spring, but I haven't asked him how he likes it yet.

Lol that reminded me of a couple of my friends whose husbands were retiring. They were pretty nervous about it. It took awhile to get used to. They would be getting ready to head out and run some errands, and the hubbies would grab their coats like kids wanting to go along for the ride. They’d come in the room and ask what was for lunch at noon. The women would learn, after all those years, that they had been vacuuming the wrong way all along lol. I think the hubby that told his wife that is still in therapy lol.

In the end, it all worked out, and no obituary notices.

Glad you’re enjoying it. I’ve been retired 9 years and LOVE LOVE LOVE not dealing with all of the different kinds of people and problems. It’s also nice to be able to nap whenever I want.....or be up in the night posting!
