Yep. Peak rut starts on Wednesday this week. This buck was just jumping the gun, as it were. Bwaa-Haaa-Haaa! Bow Season is open, now.

Meant to add, according to the ‘calculator’ at that site, they predict about 1,000 car/deer accidents at the peak of the rut...in my county alone!

It’s wild out there! I never drive at night Fall through Winter. I have Beau drive and we take ‘The Big Truck,’ the F350 Ford which has survived three deer and a steer hits so far. ;)
