One of my oldest friends has been trying to help a young person who has mental problems due to serious abuse growing up, parents are devils. The young person started having serious bouts of hallucinating, and more, so she was admitted into the psych ward of the local hospital. 2 weeks was all they could hold her due to insurance running out. She walked out the door and no one knows where she is. Totally vulnerable, no money, no resources, no way to help her.
I think he’s a fed.
Also they just give them big pharma medicine instead of truly helping the individual. Depressed take a pill, hallucinating take this pill, bipolar we have a pill for that. With states deregulating illegal drugs it’s going to get worse.
They all want to virtue signal without really helping those that need it. Or the so called agencies have created their own market to where they get money but never solve the problem they exist for. The homeless and mental NGOs in San Fran are prime examples. Interested in keeping their government created jobs without solving any problems.
Used to be every state had a mental hospital. Some people are just batsh** crazy. SOmetime when Reagan was president (not his fault) they discorvered psych drugs and figured it’s cheaper to have the crazies on mental drugs than in hospitals, so they closed the mental hospitals. Right after that the homeless problem started. Some people just need to be in a mental hospital.

First a bit of apology for not having any Broken China Updates over the past week. When I woke up Friday morning my lower right leg was slightly swollen and red. It was tender to put any weight on it for the first several steps but after that I could walk fine. The pain only returned if I had been lying in bed with the foot up. By Monday I was a lot worse so I got off to the doctor. He sent me immediately to the hospital for an ultrasound on my leg to see if i had any blood clots. I don't. With the removal of any life threatening potentialities, I am on an antibiotic, a diuretic, and wearing a compression sock that was the very devil to get into. So, don't worry. As the doc said, I'll live until the bill gets paid. See how fast I write that check. ;-)

The ongoing slow-motion train wreck that is the PRC Real Estate market is getting worse. It will continue to get worse until the CCP puts a stop to the problem. The CCP is screwed which ever way it goes. If it allows the market to set prices, up to 30% of the equity holdings by banks disappears overnight. This makes the banks insolvent by even PRC standards. There will be runs on every bank in the country with resulting mass unrest when people can't get even a fraction of their funds, if they get anything.
The manager of a major Hong Kong financial advisor Group recently wrote, "We believe the property sector crisis which is largely peaked is just a preview of the main event which will see around 40% of local government financing Vehicles default on their debt we estimate total loss for local government financing vehicle creditors including financial institutions such as Banks and local government financing vehicle supplier contract to be in the neighborhood of 5 trillion or 30% of China's GDP." I think he is being optimistic. If you haven't already sold any stocks or bonds with China exposure you can probably kiss that money good bye. As I remember I started warning about this in early August.
Item Two:
The price of TsinTao beer stock dropped 7.1% at the opening of trading after video of a worker publicly peeing into a container for holding raw materials before they are used in brewing was posted online in China. The individual involved was arrested. While the stock price mostly recovered it will likely not stop the 20.7% slide in stock price so far this calendar year. Significantly, senior management of Tsintao have reduced their holdings of company stock.
Item Three:
There is a dramatic increase in lung cancer nationwide in the PRC. Chinese Netizens are blaming a wide range of possible causes. Leading the list is COVID and COVID vaccines. The PRC is already one of the most polluted countries on Earth. You might also remember me posting about low level radioactive dust, a by-product of Chinese coal production and consumption.
Item Four:
CCP officials, at all levels, are using 'fake divorces' as part of escape plans. This allows large sums to be moved overseas while the official remains in China. It looks to me that the rats know the ship is sinking and don't want to go down with it.

government NGO is a misnomer but in places like San Fran things are so screwed up that the only folks being helped are employees of the government created agencies or the NGO employees. Look at all the money being budgeted for mental health in liberal hell holes like San Fran. They only folks it helps are those working for the state mental health agencies or the NGOs whose so-called purpose is to help people in a mental health crisis. Just a bunch of virtue signalers enriching each other but not helping those in need.
