Jussie ended up being the fall guy in some weird plot by Pelosi, Kamala Harris and likely Obama to advance support for their anti-lynching bill. I’ve wondered why it was so important to pass that bill when murder of anyone by any means is already a crime. I wondered if this might have been a bone thrown to Obama who, post-Presidency, was rightfully accused of doing NOTHING for “his people”. This is as close as he will ever come to having a legacy that “his people” can nod approval for. Forgive my wild wonderings, along with my dangling preposition.
