Lay in the snow - that’s funny! You’ll relate to this story - when I was quickly shovelling my back deck in December 2020 in shorts and a t-shirt, as all respectable Canadians do from time to time, I slipped and broke my wrist. I had been on the treadmill and figured I could do the 5 minute chore quickly before heading to the shower, but I was moving too fast in inappropriate footwear for the occasion. The wave of nausea that came over me caused me to lay in the snow for several minutes before the pain and nausea subsided to a point where I could get up. Then I was soaking wet, so I changed my clothes (with great difficulty), and went back to my desk where I persevered through the second half of an online bridge tournament before going to the hospital. I know well the benefits of laying in the snow for instant pain relief.
I will persevere with the niacin with the expectation that the flush will diminish with continued use. It isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever suffered through and was even interesting. I didn’t know my body could generate that kind of heat! I’m pretty sure I burned off a fair amount of bad microbes that were living in and on me in those 20 minutes.
Oh geez, Linda.. that’s like me, when I broke my arm at the ice rink, had them put a splint on, so my grandkids could finish their lessons.
Gotta do what we gotta do 😂
