See my post # 33 on how I got around the cost of home batteries issue. For what it’s worth, mine cost about $1K per kWh storage, before the 30% solar tax credit (which artificially inflated my price anyway so the tax credit hurt me as much as it helped me like all subsidies do). So in the end it came out to about $700 per kWh storage.

I have a philosophical aversion to borrowing money. I have never borrowed money in my life. If I ever do anything along the lines of getting a battery system, I will just buy it with savings.
