Lol I feel your pain, Jem.

I seem to notice spelling/grammar mistakes as well, but I think it comes from years of home-schooling and tutoring. I used to get the urge to correct, but I got over it for two reasons. Firstly, nobody likes it lol. Secondly, when the spelling/grammar police make a mistake, well, people are more than thrilled to correct, and you never live it down lol.

My one pet peeve is the constant use of the apostrophe being added before the “s” when pluralizing a word....like nails on a chalkboard lol.

Thank you. It comes from homeschooling, then teaching sixth grade, and becoming a professional writer.

The wrong use of the apostrophe for plurals is irritating to me as well. But, another of mine is the incorrect use of homophones.

How about, “for all intensive porpoises?” Aaaach!
