I don’t have an issue with them intercepting communication between Russians and Americans. The issue (I’ll explain in simple words so perhaps you can understand) is that after seeing this communication they would realize that this was regarding an interview. At that point it became none of their business.
It’s like someone talking to a drug dealer. If they’re discussing the weather then they’ve done nothing wrong. If they’re arranging a drug deal they are.

That’s not the way it works. Heads of Foreign governments that are adversarial to the US are always monitored, as best as possible. That very well may be where the US got the information, through someone relaying the information to Putin. Tucker doesn’t know, he’s just trying to stir up some publicity, and sympathy. Works on some, but not on others.
