I think the Supreme Court has been intimidated since 2000 when they stopped Gore's attempt to steal the election--there was so much negative press about how they "selected" Bush to be President that they are afraid of the media.

I think the Powers that Be have decided that Trump can never be President again. If they don't have him in prison before the 2024 election they may have him killed. Tucker already discussed the possibility with him.
