Eh....The article speaks of Teotihuacan as a metropolis. I mean, The Aztecs were initially chased out of northern Mexico because they were so brutal and savage, where they basically made a fortress out of Teotihuacan due to its topography, they were able to fend off other tribes out to kill them.

Aztec savagery was their downfall, as their whole society was brittle because subordinate tribes ended up siding with the Conquistadors instead of defending the Aztecs. I agree with nwrep.

“Aztec savagery”

Savagery is savagery no matter the source. There is no such thing as righteous just savagery to combat savagery. A wrong does not right a wrong. It is hypocritical to even think so.

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 6:1

“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.” James 1:26

“Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?” Romans 2:3

I can read... There are many more explaining God does not approve of hypocritical self righteousness in his name.
