Because of this thread, I looked up Mansa Musa, a chief founder of the slave trade, starting up 100 years before Columbus.
He was easily the largest African slave holder in the history of the world.
Wasn’t he the guy Midas was based on? One of the African guys was literally the richest man in the history of the world.
