The Russian stuff I got from Peter Zeihan as a head's up on this one. Like him or not, he's open and up-front about his biases and is not afraid of doing a mea culpa when he gets/got something wrong. The most recent example was the Ukraine war. He really thought it would last less than a week. He doesn't like Russia & Putin at all but isn't thrilled with Zalenski either. He is also careful to qualify his prognostications.
Peter's comments here match other things I'm seeing. Best of all, they have the ring of truth.
