Good statement by Gen. Kellogg.

Re Pence, something I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around is that, on 01/06/21, Pres. Trump had had a meeting or convo with him early in the morning. Both were in jovial spirits, and appeared to be of one mind. Later in the day, Pence does the Judas thing. And what Pres. Trump said at that moment about his actions was “Sometimes it takes more courage to do nothing”. That phrase has always sat weird with me. Why would Pres. Trump choose those precise words about what looked to be the ultimate betrayal?

Yet, if Pence is the blackest of black hats, why would Acting Secy. of Defense Chris Miller thank him so effusively at that speech we’ve all seen the video of? Why would a decorated Green Beret call someone with no military experience (to the best of my knowledge, anyhow) a “mentor”?

The whole situation with Pence is strange, and I can’t figure it out. I keep thinking there’s more to be learned, that none of us are currently privy to.

Thanks to all for their patience in reading this “diarrhea of the keyboard”. Heh. :-)

Good post. Pence is playing his role well, whatever it is, but there was something about him that never sat right with me. Did the rotten DC power brokers  force Trump to choose Pence as VP to gain advantage?  Indiana wasn't a battleground state. Trump beat Hillary there in 2016 56.5% vs 37.5%. For the record the battleground states in 2016 were FL, NC, Wisconsin, Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Does anybody else remember Obama telling Trump not to hire Flynn?  We can talk about the Ryan letter, Flynn's firing, and Chris Miller calling Pence a "mentor". It doesn't make any sense but, I took the mentor comment like a red flag warning regarding Pence. Then I found out much later that Sec Chris Miller also supported sending weapons to Ukraine for the MIC. So what are we looking at? Why is Pence running for president and asking for a dollar to help his dead end campaign and planning on making the Sunday morning talk show circuit to bash Trump a little more? Is he working on a second challenge coin?

I can’t argue with that. ;-)

I’m as baffled by Pence’s apparent willfull ignorance as you are. I think I noticed a change coming, tho, that somehow explains part of it. I always noted his wife, who acted and dressed like a teen doofus, dramatically changed her manner and even her dress style in the latter days of the presidential term. I figgered either she just got out of high school or serious changes had happened. Her significant change in manner was telegraphing something——that I haven’t zeroed in on yet?
