My main problem with this and all other debates in the last sixty years is that it just encourages the misuse of the federal Presidency.
The Presidency for our first 120 years was meant to be the chief magistrate — the chief executive. As progressives came to the forefront in both parties, Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, we lost that vision.
The Presidency became a leader, an activist and much more involved in legislation and articulating the direction that the weaker congress should go.
This led to such idiocy as George W Bush bringing his education centered Texas governorship policy up to the Federal level. Listening to Presidential debates is a litany of things that the federal Presidents should not do or should not be involved with formulating.

TV resulted in presidents like JFK, Clinton and Obama. Form over substance. Vivek has substance and America needs to be informed and entertained in order to regain its greatness.
