DeLay was Gingrich's #1 ally in Congress.

The GOP allowed the Texas State Prosecutor in Austin to destroy DeLay with almost ten years of criminal litigation after Gingrich crashed and burned.

You’re right about Newt, but Delay was a snake. Good riddance. The problem is the conservatives don’t provide a strong replacement when one goes down. That is my concern if Paxton goes down. At least Paxton appointed his replacement.
