Your Brother is ignorant. Of the roughly 50 members of what were known as the “Dixiecrats” exactly three became Republicans. Jesse Helms, Strom Thurmond and a legislator from Louisiana whose name escapes me. The rest stayed Democrats until the day they died like Robert Byrd.

In the time since lbj bought them off, what has dim-0s given them? Instead of sharecropper shacks, they now house them in the projects, or crime riddled hoods. Instead of chittlins, they now get EBT cards. AND what have Republicans given them? STILL, LIBERTY to go out and be their own man.
And to this day dim-0s think that blacks are SO INFERIOR as to be unable to obtain a valid ID to vote with so we cannot ensure our elections are fair.
Now, our ideologies did switch once but at the time there was no Republican party yet. Back when the country was new, and we had nothing, our side was the progressive bunch. WE wanted to build the country. Roads, Schools all the infrastructure that a country needs and we did that, quickly becoming the greatest nation the world has ever seen.
NOWDAYS, dim-0s call themselves progressive, but what are they trying to progress to? Men marrying other men? Porn being taught at school to 2nd graders? Murdering babies for convenience sake?
