The Iroquois expanded west along the south shore of Lake Erie seeking new hunting lands. They had a robust trade with the French, trading fur pelts for guns. They encountered the Erie, a somewhat backward and pacific tribe, who only had the bow and arrow which they used for hunting. The Iriquois virtually wiped them out and usurped a big piece of north east ohio for themselves. Liberals seem to be admirers of the Iroquois, for reasons one can only surmise.

Well, like the Iroquois here the Left is not content to leave peaceful non-Woke alone, but selfishly seeks dominion over all.

True that about the Iroquois. Like other northeastern tribes (really a collection of tribes), I've read the Iroquois were bad about revenge wars.

A spinoff from the Iroquois were the Cherokee. They were mild in comparison, but they did their own share of taking over other tribes' land as they migrated down to modern day Georgia and Alabama. A friend of mine who's part Cherokee likes to joke with me (I'm pretty much all white) that "y'all took our land", knowing that my response is always "right after y'all took it from the Muskogee".

I remember reading somewhere that the name Mohawk (one of the Iroquois federated tribes and maybe its most martial!) was an anglicization of the Lene Lape (Delaware tribe) word for man eater - i.e, cannibal. (In fact, many North American tribes practiced ritualized cannibalism!) Lene Lape were defeated by the Iroquois and reduced to suzerainty to them. The Iroquois bragged to the British that they put the "petticoat" on the Lene Lape.
