I’m over 50 now and have learned that pain is a great motivator. I have the beginnings of diverticulitis and if I don’t get enough fiber or water in a day I end up with terrible bowel pain. Therefore I’m now naturally careful to eat oatmeal with a pear or apple every day and to drink lots of water daily. The pain itself led me to these changes.
