I send my doc an email saying I’m out of a prescription and that there are no more refills at the pharmacy. He sends the order to the pharmacy. No doctor cost to me. The only expense is the co-pay at the pharmacy.
Don’t you have a similar situation or arrangement?
Negative
None of the doctors I know around here where I live in Florida will do that anymore. Most will only prescribe 3 months at a time unless there's already an over the counter generic, before they want to see you again.
It's actually been a great deterrent to me taking any of their junk anymore. None of the doctors really like me anymore since I won't sign up to their "subscription requirements" so I just bounce between a few that know who I am and my history, which has been fine.
I'm saving thousands of dollars per year alone by staying off the blood thinners one wanted to put me on, by simply drinking a lot more water. When I went to get my yearly blood test the other day, the nurse actually asked me if I was on blood thinners, because the blood came out so quick and was so strong she had to put a bandage all the way around my arm to get it to stop. I told her no and I'm really glad I'm not now LOL.
This obviously won't work for everyone, as I know a lot of people need their meds, but a lot of people don't, too. Look to mother nature's supplements first, they're usually cheaper and better for you, if you feel you need something added.
