There is no reference in the article, or the title to the article, about Governor Hogan releasing the criminal. Hogan’s name does not appear in the article. The article, while poorly written, strongly implies it was County Circuit Court Judge Broughton M. Earnest who released Merle Unger.
But it is the sort of thing a Hogan Republican would do. Easy mistake to make.
