A man was arrested after he allegedly tried to steal from a Walmart in Florida while the store was filled with dozens of police officers.
Osceola County Sheriff's Office, near Orlando, published a post on its Facebook page on Thursday saying it had arrested a man after he was caught trying to steal from a Walmart in St. Cloud.
The incident happened during a "Shop with a Cop" event with local children. "Bad news, Brad!" the office wrote, adding: "Seriously we just can't make this up."
The Walmart store was filled with nearly 40 deputies alongside the forensics team, the community services officers, the OCSO Majors, and Sheriff Marcos R. Lopez.
"Bad idea, Brad," the post ended.

Geographical note: The event took place in America and not California where shoplifting is an acceptable way to make a living.

Are you unfamiliar with “Shop with a Cop” where LEOs spend the morning at Wal*Mart with kids ON THEIR OWN TIME?
Are the kids afraid to go to Walmart? Sad....Maybe it was the China Mart shooting in Virginia from last week.

The shoplifter was dumb enough to try that with police officers inside the store. Thank God he was caught.
Shop with a Cop is a nice Christmas tradition in Florida.
It is a tradition in Florida. The sheriff use it as a community outreach and the kids (poor and sometimes in foster care) and get nice things .
American Rifleman still has that Armed Citizen page buried in their magazines. Buried. Stupid. Those people are heroes. Put em on the front cover. Armed Citizen of the Quarter. Of the year. All expenses paid trips to DC, NRA Convention, etc.
