The 24/7 fear porn that played on televisions around the world with constant covid case numbers, hospitalizations and death counts ramped up the fear in susceptible people like never before. Once you have that fear, it’s very hard to undo it without the same intense level of reassurance from the same sources that created the fear in the first place. We’d probably have to see a long television campaign of reassurance directed at these same people before they will not be afraid ever again. Even then, if it doesn’t come from the same mouthpieces (Fauci) that instilled the fear, they still might not believe they’re safe.
