A lawyer for a Colorado woman seriously injured when she was detained in a parked patrol car that was struck by a freight train says prosecutors plan to charge her in an alleged road rage incident, according to a report.

Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, 20, sustained nine broken ribs, a broken arm, a fractured sternum and numerous other injuries...

Weld County District Attorney plans to charge Rios-Gonzalez with one count of felony menacing over the incident that led to her detention.

Several law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a road rage incident involving a firearm in Fort Lupton, and Rios-Gonzalez was pulled over, handcuffed and placed in a patrol car parked on railroad tracks.

Rios-Gonzalez, who is married and has a 2-year-old daughter, was released from the hospital last month.

Hmmm...
If she had raped or murdered someone, she would be walking free...

Hope she is lawyered up to sue the cops and locality for the physical abuse and hospital time...

This charge being processed, under these horrendous circumstances, seems to be just a threat to keep her from suing the cops, IMHO...

In other words, the cops witnesses nothing themselves, yet still charged this mother because they believed someone else's story, which I doubt was made under oath.

They’ll try and make her a deal. Do a little time and be rich when you get out.

Getting smashed by a train should get you a “Get out of Jail” card unless it is very serious like murder.

Morgan and Morgan will be giving her a fine monetary package when she’s done with the charges. There is no way that city isn’t going to pay her. The city was negligent beyond belief. Yes she deserves to see some charges, but I think the jury is going to be sympathetic, or should be.

Hopefully she won’t even do the time.

Either way, she’s getting paid. Talk about PTSD.

Why haven’t the police been charged for attempted murder of the woman?

I’d vote not guilty at her trail. In the old west if you hanged someone and the rope broke... they were released. Same thing here for me.
