The global shortages caused by the war in Ukraine have pushed some countries to focus on producing more of their own food. As a result, Zimbabwe is on course to reap its largest wheat harvest ever. DW's Privilege Musvanhiri reports.
Hard to believe - unless they have completely sold out to China.
100% of the non-Black farm owners have been expropriated by the Zimbabwe government.
A few years ago, Zimbabwe was one of poorest and most malnourished countries in Africa.
An area the size of my back yard would qualify as a bumper crop in Ximbabwe...
So they have let the white farmers go ahead and farm?
I suspect the new guy brought in the Chinese. Much of this wheat will end of getting exported to China. The new Presidents Swiss bank account will benefit greatly.

From my former co-workers, he was recruiting guys that Mugabe ran out. Of course, they can’t own any of the land, but can farm it and split the profits, to some extent.
Interesting!. I was going to try making my own bread by grinding wheat berries. So I read up on the hard / soft - white/ red wheat berry types. I haven’t don’t it - yet.
