Iran's Supreme Leader
Khamenei said in a meeting with Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, “Who could have believed that one day in American universities, slogans would be chanted in favor of Palestine and the Palestinian flag would be raised? And who could have believed that one day in Japan, during pro-Palestine demonstrations, the slogan “Death to Israel” would be chanted in Persian? In the future, there may be events regarding the Palestinian issue that today seem unbelievable.”
Referring to Quranic verses about the fulfillment of two promises made by God to the mother of Prophet Moses, he added, “Currently, the first promise of God regarding the people of Palestine has been fulfilled, and that is the victory of the people of Gaza, who are a small group, against the large and powerful groups of the US, NATO, the UK, and some other countries.”
“On this basis, the second promise, which is the elimination of Israel, is also achievable, and by divine grace, the day will come when Palestine will be established from the “sea” to the “river,” he added. Khamenei emphasized, “Mr. Mokhber, who is responsible for the country's executive affairs according to the Constitution, will continue the policies and orientations of the late President regarding Palestine with the same motivation and spirit.
