NH update.
I got my Mr. Cool mini-split installed and working! Woohoo! This was not the DIY model! I ordered the Advantage series by accident so I had to evacuate the lines. $123 in tools to do that but I got it all done and I saved, wait for it, $8,000. Yeah the quote for someone to do this was $9,200.
Anyway, I now have heat and A/C! Very happy! This was one of two MAJOR priorities I had to get done before winter.
And my windows arrived at Lowe’s. Been waiting for them since August! The bathroom is coming a long. Almost ready for drywall and I have running water again. Always a good thing. :) Now to get the ceiling insulated!

I cut into my existing duct work to heat my 1 car garage turned into a living space.
- mistake.
I just had somebody install new furnace and ac and wanted the split for my living space.
additional 4300 bucks and it was on a side of the house the city would want it hidden. - more cost.
Too much of a hassle. Still have the option. I used to use space heat er but the winters haven’at been that severe in awhile so I’ve done without it for the last 4 years.
