I have to confess, I thought for a moment today that "right now" might be happening. Was blasted out of a sound sleep at 5:45 a.m. by one of those loud, blaring phone alerts that goes out for things like a missing child or an approaching tornado. This alert, though, was for OK's E.A.S. (Emergency Alert System). I've NEVER received one on my phone before; they're always broadcast on the TV, and at normal times of the day.
Probably no particular significance, but it was odd and, in light of events of the past few days, made me think "Hmmm, I wonder . . . ".
Ask around if others had the same.
It is significant that it was b-cast at an hour most people are asleep.
