I put my faith in the laws of physics and E=MC^2 before the babble of any government agency.
That level of physics is less than 200 years old. Look at the progress we have experienced in just the last 80 years. Now suppose the remote civilization didn't go through a Dark Ages. Is it possible they know something we don't?
